This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Attested, a secure evidence sharing platform operated by Verifore Technologies LLC, a Louisiana limited liability company. By using Attested (the "Service"), you agree to comply with this AUP in addition to our Terms of Service.
Violations of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.
1. Permitted Use
The Service is intended for use by licensed legal professionals, paralegals, legal support staff, and authorized agents acting on behalf of clients in connection with the authentication, management, and production of evidence in legal proceedings.
Permitted uses include:
- Legal Discovery and Evidence Review: Sharing evidence and discovery materials for legal proceedings, including litigation, arbitration, and regulatory investigations
- Secure Media Transfer: Transferring sensitive media files between authorized parties with cryptographic integrity verification and access audit trail documentation
- Corporate Investigations: Internal investigations, due diligence, and corporate compliance reviews
- Insurance Claims Documentation: Submitting and processing insurance claims with authenticated media evidence
- Law Enforcement and Government: Secure sharing of evidence and investigative materials within authorized law enforcement and government agencies
- Any Lawful Purpose: Any other use that is lawful, complies with applicable laws and regulations, and is consistent with the Service's purpose as a secure evidence sharing platform
2. Prohibited Conduct
You are strictly prohibited from using the Service for any of the following purposes:
2.1 Illegal Content
You may not upload, share, or distribute any illegal content, including but not limited to:
- Content that violates criminal laws
- Content that infringes upon intellectual property rights
- Defamatory, libelous, or slanderous content
- Content that violates privacy or publicity rights
- Content that violates export control laws or trade sanctions
2.2 Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED: Uploading, sharing, or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits minors is strictly prohibited and will result in:
- Immediate account termination without notice
- Immediate reporting to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC)
- Immediate reporting to law enforcement agencies
- Cooperation with law enforcement investigations
- No refunds will be provided
We have zero tolerance for CSAM and will take all legally required actions to combat its distribution.
2.3 Harassment and Stalking
You may not use the Service to:
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, or stalk any individual or group
- Share content intended to cause emotional distress or harm
- Engage in cyberbullying or online harassment
2.4 Copyright Infringement
You may not upload, share, or distribute content that infringes upon the copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of third parties. You must have all necessary rights and permissions before uploading content.
2.5 Circumventing Security Features
You may not attempt to:
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features, watermarks, or access controls
- Remove, alter, or obfuscate viewer identity watermarks
- Bypass authentication mechanisms
- Reverse engineer or decompile the Service
- Use any automated tools to circumvent security measures
- Attempt to circumvent the integrity verification systems (SHA-256 hashing, watermarking, audit trails)
2.6 Automated Access and Scraping
You may not:
- Use automated systems, bots, crawlers, or scrapers to access or harvest data from the Service
- Use the Service in a manner that places excessive load on our infrastructure
- Attempt to access the Service through unauthorized means
2.7 Reselling and Sublicensing
You may not:
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize access to the Service without explicit written authorization from Verifore Technologies LLC
- Use the Service to provide services to third parties in a commercial capacity without authorization
- Create derivative services based on the Service without permission
2.8 Impersonation and Fraud
You may not:
- Impersonate any person, entity, or organization
- Provide false or misleading information when creating an account
- Use the Service for fraudulent purposes
- Engage in any form of phishing or social engineering
2.9 AI Feature Misuse
You may not:
- Use AI Features (Counsel AI or Document Review) to generate legal advice for distribution to clients
- Misrepresent AI-generated outputs as work product of licensed counsel
- Upload content that does not relate to legitimate legal matters for AI processing
- Share access credentials with unauthorized third parties
- Use the Service to process content of minors in any context not directly related to legitimate legal representation
3. AI Output Restrictions
Subscriber agrees not to:
- (a) Present Document Review outputs as substantive legal analysis to clients, courts, or opposing parties without independent attorney review;
- (b) Modify or alter AI-generated outputs in a manner that obscures their automated origin;
- (c) Use Counsel AI as a substitute for legal research or counsel.
4. Enforcement
4.1 Violation Consequences
Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy will result in:
- Immediate Suspension: Your account may be suspended immediately upon detection of a violation
- Account Termination: Repeated violations or serious violations (including CSAM) will result in permanent account termination
- No Refunds: Accounts terminated for violations will not receive refunds for unused subscription periods
- Data Retention: We may retain account data and content for evidence in legal proceedings or law enforcement investigations
- Legal Action: We reserve the right to pursue legal action for violations of this AUP
4.2 Illegal Content Reporting
In cases of illegal content, especially CSAM:
- Content will be immediately reported to appropriate law enforcement agencies
- Content will be reported to NCMEC if it involves child exploitation
- We will fully cooperate with law enforcement investigations
- Account information and access logs will be provided to law enforcement as required
4.3 Appeal Process
If you believe your account was suspended or terminated in error, you may reach out to us at anthony@attested.legal with a detailed explanation. We will review appeals on a case-by-case basis. However, violations involving illegal content, CSAM, or serious security breaches are not eligible for appeal.

If you become aware of any violation of this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it immediately:

- Date and time of the violation
- Any supporting evidence
We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. For urgent matters involving illegal content or immediate threats, please also contact your local law enforcement agency.
6. Severability
If any provision of this AUP is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
7. Governing Law
This AUP is governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from this AUP shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
